The last ball of the over and the innings hit the wicket after hitting Tait’s pad. In this way, 5 wickets fell in the over while no runs were scored. The Australian innings which reached a score of 191 after 19 overs, ended on the same score in 20 overs. Nannes remained unbeaten without scoring any runs. Aamir took three wickets for 23 runs and Ajmal took three wickets for 34 runs.

From Australia’s side, Dirk Nannes and Shaun Tait took three wickets each and Mitchell Johnson took two wickets and played an important role in wrapping up the Pakistani innings. An interesting aspect of the match was that the last wicket of both the teams fell on the last ball of the innings. The last wicket of the Australian innings in the form of Shaun Tait fell on the last ball of the 20th over while the last wicket of Pakistan was Saeed Ajmal who fell prey to Tait on the last ball of the innings.
