New Delhi. Champions Trophy 2025 will start in February. ICC has asked all the teams to release their squads by 12th January. Players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are certain to play. Meanwhile, today we will talk about 5 such players who have played ODI for India but it is difficult for them to get a chance in the Champions Trophy.

The first name that comes is Suryakumar Yadav. It is difficult for Surya to get a chance in the Champions Trophy. Because his/her performance in ODIs has not been anything special for Team India. Suryakumar Yadav’s performance in recent domestic cricket has not been anything special. Surya is known for batting at number 4. But the selectors’ choice for number 4 could be Shreyas Iyer.

Avesh Khan played his/her last ODI for India in December 2023. he/she took 2 wickets in the last match against South Africa. After having bowlers like Bumrah, Siraj and Arshdeep in Team India, it seems difficult for Avesh to play in the Champions Trophy.

Champions Trophy 2025: Team India may be announced on January 12, 3 Indians are almost certain to play!

Sanju Samson has performed well for Team India in recent matches. But it is difficult for him/her to play in the Champions Trophy. Samson may prove to be a flop on a turning track like UAE. In such a situation, KL Rahul can be the first choice of the selector.

Rituraj Gaikwad has been out of Team India for some time. he/she also played his/her last ODI in December 2023. There is no doubt about his/her ability but it is difficult for the selectors to give a chance to Gaikwad by keeping players like Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal out.

Tilak Verma has played 4 ODI matches for India so far. he/she has played amazing innings in recent T20 matches. Tilak also scored a century in the fourth T20 of the T20 series against South Africa in November. But it is difficult for him/her to get a chance in a big tournament like Champions Trophy. The selectors’ first choice to handle batting and bowling in the middle order will be Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dubey.
