45 people died in 36 hours due to heat wave, now heat has become fatal

New Delhi: Amidst the scorching heat, heat wave continues to be a threat to life and 45 more people have died in the last 36 hours. Thus, the total number of deaths due to heat wave has now increased to 87. According to the Times of India report, 19 more people died due to heat wave in western Odisha, 16 people died in UP in a single day, while five people died in Bihar, four in Rajasthan and one in Punjab. Odisha has reported 19 deaths in two days. Experts have attributed the deaths to extremely high temperatures. Of the nine people who died in Jharsuguda, seven were truck drivers who were passing through the city carrying minerals. Of the 16 people who died in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, 11 were polling personnel. Rajasthan has reported nine deaths due to heatstroke this summer.

The heat wave continues in Delhi. The weather department has declared a yellow alert. The maximum temperature during the day can be recorded at 42 to 43 degrees Celsius. During the yellow alert, there will be heat wave conditions at many places in Delhi, i.e. there will be heat wave. There may also be some clouds in the sky. There are also chances of dust storm along with showers. Experts are advising to avoid hot winds blowing at 30 to 40 km per hour.

Now Delhiites can get relief only in monsoon. Everyone is waiting for monsoon rain. According to Skymet Weather, monsoon is moving upwards from South India. It has reached the entire north-eastern states including sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. There has been some decrease in rain activity in Kerala, but rain continues in the northeastern states. Now rain will also intensify in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and southern Karnataka. A decrease in temperature can also be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

The southwest monsoon is expected to reach Madhya Pradesh two days earlier on June 15. A Meteorological Department official said on Saturday that the simultaneous arrival of monsoon in Kerala and the Northeast is quite rare and had happened earlier in 2017, 1997, 1995 and 1991.
