New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday is on 17th September. Ajmer Sharif Dargah has made special preparations on this occasion. On the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday, 4000 kg of vegetarian food will be prepared and fed to the people. Dargah officials said in a statement that in the celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and with the Seva Pakhwada, the historic and world famous ‘Big Shahi Deg’ will be used once again at Ajmer Dargah Sharif. 4000 kg of vegetarian food will be prepared and distributed among the people. Continue the tradition that has been going on for more than 550 years. Gaddi Nashin-Dargah Ajmer Sharif, Syed Afshan Chishti, while talking to news agency ANI on Wednesday, said that vegetarian food will be distributed among the people.

What will we have to eat?

Syed Afshan Chishti told that on the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday, service programs will be organized at religious places in the country. On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, we will prepare 4,000 kg of vegetarian food, which will include rice and pure ghee, dry fruits and feed it to the people. Along with this, langar will also be given as service to the gurus and the poor people around us. Chishti said that we will also pray for his/her long life on his/her birthday. The entire langar is being organized by the Indian Minority Foundation and the Chishti Foundation of Ajmer Sharif.

The entire process from lighting the “Degh” to distribution of food is carried out with utmost devotion and care. The dargah serves thousands of devotees and sadhaks who come to pay their respects. The celebrations will begin with the lighting of the “Big Shahi Degh” inside the dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at 10:30 pm. According to the release, special prayers (dua) will be offered for peace, unity, prosperity and well-being on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The prayers will also seek blessings for the success of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ and the welfare of all citizens. The “Degh” is one of the world’s largest cooking vessels, capable of preparing up to 4000 kg of food, and has been used for centuries. The cooking process will continue throughout the night, to serve “langar” to the devotees. Devotees and volunteers will gather to pray and recite “Quranic verses,” “naats” (devotional songs) and “manqabats,” Qawwali” (poetry in praise of saints) will also be organised.

The food will be distributed to all the attendees and the surrounding communities. Volunteers will help distribute the food in a systematic manner, the release said. Dargah officials said the event will conclude with a prayer of gratitude and unity for the welfare of the nation and all humanity. The event not only celebrates the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also reflects the spirit of service and community welfare at the heart of the teachings of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
