4 lakh stolen from Anupam Kher’s office, thieves fled in an auto rickshaw with the goods, caught on CCTV


Actor Anupam Kher’s office in Mumbai has been burgled. The thieves stole goods worth Rs 4 lakh and fled with all the items in an auto rickshaw. Anupam Kher informed about this incident on social media and immediately informed the police as well. The police have started investigating the matter. The thieves running away with the items were also captured on CCTV. The incident occurred on June 19. Anupam Kher has shared a video on his/her Instagram account, in which he/she has told how the thieves entered his/her office and what items they stole. The actor has also shown the condition of his/her office in the video.

Anupam Kher told that on June 19, two thieves broke into his/her office on Veera Desai Road and vandalized it. After this, they stole goods worth about Rs 4.15 lakh. Sharing the video, Anupam Kher wrote, ‘Last night, two thieves broke two doors of my office on Veera Desai Road and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably could not break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company which were in a box. Our office has filed an FIR, and the police have assured that the thieves will be caught very soon, because in the CCTV camera, both of them are seen sitting in an auto with the goods. May God give them wisdom. This video was made by my office people before the police arrived.’

At the same time, a police officer told ETimes that the thieves broke the lock and stole goods worth about Rs 4.15 lakh including cash. Anupam Kher also spoke to ETimes about this and told that the reel that the thieves stole was in a bag. The thieves thought that there might be money in the bag. Those were the reels of the film ‘Maine Gandhi ko Kyun Mara’. Anupam Kher further said, ‘This is an old building, which has only a few CCTV cameras. From the footage I got, I could see that two people were involved in this. The police have assured me that they will trace them.’ Anupam Kher has also filed an FIR.
