Left-handed batsman Smriti Mandhana played a fiery innings of 149 runs today. While facing 161 balls, Smriti hit 27 fours and a six. Smriti Mandhana had earlier scored a lot of runs in the ODI series against South Africa. She scored two centuries in three matches. In one match, she missed a century due to nervous 90.

Smriti Mandhana made a partnership of 292 runs with Shefali Verma for the first wicket. Shefali scored a double century in this match. If we talk about Indian women’s cricket, many records were broken by Smriti’s innings. What Smriti did in Indian cricket had never happened before. Team India also got direct benefit from this performance of Smriti.

Smriti Mandhana scored 117 runs in the first match of the ODI series against South Africa. After this, she scored 136 runs in the second match. In the third and last ODI, 90 runs came from her bat. On the basis of this brilliant performance of Smriti, Team India won all three matches and clean swept the African team. Mandhana’s magic now worked during the only Test as well. She scored 149 runs. In this way, she completed three centuries in four matches. This is the first occasion in Indian women’s cricket when a vice-captain has scored three centuries in four matches against the same team and missed a century in an innings by just 10 runs.
