2025 is very important for the opposition, but in the new year we will have to fight internal challenges.

The year ending was important in many ways in terms of politics. In January this year, Ram Lalla was installed in Ayodhya with a grand event and then in the same atmosphere, after four-five months, general elections were held in the country. In this election, the scattered opposition united and stopped the PM Modi-led BJP from getting an absolute majority on its own. It is another matter that just four-five months later, in the assembly elections of four states and several by-elections, it once again BJP regained control by learning lessons from its shortcomings and failures. he/she succeeded in forming governments in Maharashtra and Haryana. Amidst this tug of war of politics, 2024 is about to end, at the end of the recent winter session, there was such a confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition, which culminated in the hospital and the police station. These pictures of the past year are not just a witness to one incident, but are an indication of such political conflict and struggle for supremacy in the coming days, the background of which has been written on the Makar Gate of the new Parliament on 19th December.

sharp attitude of the opposition
The tussle between the party and the opposition is showing no sign of stopping over the alleged insult to the creator of the Constitution, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, during the discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the occasion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution. In such a situation, on the occasion of completion of 100 years of the Belgaum session, the Congress has decided to give a new edge to the struggle against the insult to Ambedkar through its expanded Congress Working Committee.

Hundred years ago, Mahatma Gandhi was elected Congress President in the Belgaum session itself. At present Congress is celebrating ‘Ambedkar Samman Week’. he/she has launched a campaign across the country against BJP, Home Minister and Central Government on this issue. In fact, the issue of Ambedkar and the Constitution directly targets the large population of the country, keeping in mind that all the opposition political parties including the Congress are strongly demanding caste census. Elections are to be held in states like Delhi and Bihar in the coming year.

Apart from BJP and its allies, these elections are also a fight for their political existence for two strong constituents of India, AAP and RJD. Leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Tejashwi Yadav face the question of their long political future. In this sense, this year is of political life and death for him/her. In such a situation, it is obvious that there will be efforts from both the sides to electorally divert this ongoing political development regarding the Constitution and Babasaheb.

Be it RJD’s MY (Muslim-Yadav) formula or BAAP (Bahujan, Forward, Half Population and Backward) in the last Lok Sabha elections, or Nitish Kumar’s tried Dalit-Mahadalit formula, all get strength from the Constitution made by Ambedkar. Is. Winning Delhi and Bihar is important for INDIA. Especially the results of Bihar will affect the country’s politics and even the equations of the central government. At the same time, this year an important election is also to be held for BMC in Maharashtra. However, in this also the role of Congress will be negligible, because the real contest here will be between BJP, Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena.

2025 important for the opposition
The coming year is important for the opposition camp. It remains to be seen whether Congress will be able to lead this camp? Will India’s constituent parties continue to consider Congress as their leader? Or will churning start again in this camp regarding the leader? The answer to this will also be known after the results of the elections. The way different statements are coming out from within the opposition regarding making TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee the leader of India, they also show the mutual conflict and struggle for supremacy within the opposition camp.

The biggest question within the Congress is the strength of the party and organization as well as gaining ground hold. It remains to be seen whether in the coming year the top leadership of the Congress will be able to show its strong will and take such tough decisions, which senior party leader Digvijay Singh had mentioned as a major surgery a few years ago? Everyone inside and outside the Congress accepts the idea of a radical change, but it will be important to see whether the current leadership has the courage to implement it or not.

BJP in ‘will not bow down’ mode
On the other hand, after winning Maharashtra and Haryana, the way BJP under the leadership of PM Modi has pushed forward the bills related to Waqf and One Nation, One Election, it is clear that it has decided that even if the government is of NDA. , but the rule belongs to Modi, where only the ‘above’ takes the decision. The way the PM hinted at taking UCC forward in Parliament recently, it is also clear that BJP is not ready to bow down on its agenda.

The Sangh, which is going to complete its 100 years in the coming year, and the BJP are preparing to make strong efforts to strengthen themselves on the ground. The Sangh has set a target to increase the number of its branches across the country to one lakh on the occasion of 100 years. On this occasion, the Sangh has planned to blunt the edge of the caste census, the biggest weapon of the opposition. The Sangh will talk about increasing social harmony while terming the opposition’s caste census as divisive.

This year is also going to be important for BJP and Sangh in this respect, because this year PM Modi will complete 75 years of his/her age. The big question before both of them will be whether the rule of retirement at the age of 75 will be applicable to Narendra Modi also? In the coming year, BJP will also get its long awaited new national president. To a large extent, all the answers related to BJP’s future strategy regarding politics will be found in the selection of the face of the national president. This face will also be an indication of the equations of mutual relations between BJP and Sangh in the times to come. The warmth of relations between Delhi and Nagpur will also be gauged in the coming year.
