After this match, news came in the media about sending two Indian players back to India. Shubman Gill and bowler Avesh Khan, who were included in the T20 World Cup team as reserves, have been released.

This has happened as per the schedule and there is nothing surprising in this.

Four players were given place as reserves in the Indian team selected for the ICC T20 World Cup. Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh were given place by the selectors as batsmen. At the same time, Avesh Khan and Khalil Ahmed were kept as bowling options. Rinku Singh and Khalil are still with the team while the other two have been sent to India.
