2 miscreants arrested for looting in Pragati Maidan Tunnel

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has got a big success in the broad daylight robbery case in the Pragati Maidan tunnel on Saturday. The Delhi Police on Monday arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the loot. The Delhi Police issued a statement late in the evening saying that two people have been nabbed, the rest of the suspects have been identified and raids are on to arrest them.

More than 350 CCTV footages were examined in 48 hours

Over 350 CCTV footages were scanned in the last 48 hours to identify the four motorcycle-borne men who allegedly robbed a delivery agent and his/her assistant of Rs 2 lakh at Pragati Maidan tunnel on Saturday, police said. The police also questioned the employees and associates of the delivery agent’s company. “We have scanned the footage of over 350 CCTV cameras installed on the Pragati Maidan tunnel and the road leading beyond it to ascertain the route the miscreants took after the robbery,” police said.

The robbery happened in broad daylight on Saturday

Let us tell you that on Saturday inside the Pragati Maidan tunnel, miscreants looted a bag containing two lakh rupees from a businessman riding in a cab by showing a pistol. After executing this incident, he/she runs away from there. It is seen in the CCTV footage of the incident that 4 miscreants who came on 2 bikes stopped the cab and looted the bag by showing pistol. In this matter, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the Lieutenant Governor and demanded his/her resignation.
