19 types of data bases available to catch fugitives, Amit Shah said to the agencies by launching Bharatpol portal

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the ‘Bharatpol’ portal developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). On this occasion, Amit Shah also presented Police Medal to CBI officers and employees. Bharatpol is a portal and it will coordinate with ‘Interpol’, the agency that helps in cases of criminals at the international level. It is believed that with the creation of this portal, the work of the investigating agencies of the country will become better and easier.

Bharatpol will work like Interpol of the portal

The system till now was that the state police or any other investigating agency used to approach CBI with the help of the Home Ministry to know the clues of any Indian criminal sitting abroad, arrest him/her, bring him/her to India etc. After that, the Interpol wing of CBI used to send that related case through the Ministry of External Affairs to the Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France. From there, Interpol started trying to gather information about the wanted Indian criminal sitting in any country. After gathering information, further action was taken. Now Bharatpol will provide all kinds of help related to Interpol through the portal and through this Red Corner Notice can also be issued.

‘Beginning to bring international investigation into a new era’

In his/her address at the launch of ‘Bharatpol’ portal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Today we have gathered here for the launch of ‘Bharatpol’. This is the beginning of taking international investigation of our country into a new era. With the structure of ‘Bharatpol’, every agency of India, police of every state will be able to connect themselves with Interpol very easily and will be able to speed up the investigation.

‘India will be number 1 in every field in 2047’

Amit Shah further said that we all know that we are living in Amrit Kaal. The period from 75 years of independence to 100 years of independence has not only been described by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Amrit Kaal, but now the 140 crore people of the country have also accepted this period as Amrit Kaal.

The BJP leader said that 140 crore people of the country have resolved that in 2047, when the country will complete 100 years of independence, India will be at the first position in the world in every field and we will be leading the world in every field. If we have to fulfill this resolution then there are many stages in it. We have decided to make India the third largest economy in the world by 2027. From there, the first step will begin. We have 25 years for India to become a fully developed nation by 2047 and in a way it will be a golden opportunity for India.
