170 Ayurvedic packages will be included in Ayushman Bharat scheme, preparations to open Ayush medicine center

New Delhi: Ayurvedic packages will now be included in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). The Ministry of AYUSH has made preparations for this. Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav said that this initiative is being taken to connect AYUSH treatment with the mainstream healthcare system. The preparation of this scheme is in the final stages and a special committee is working for it, and talks are also going on with insurance companies. Initially 170 Ayurvedic packages will be included in the Ayushman scheme. As demand increases, the number of packages will be increased. Apart from this, AYUSH Aushadhi Kendras will also be started like ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras’ started for allopathy medicines.

Ayush medicine center will open in October

AYUSH medicine center will start at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Delhi next month. The Ministry of AYUSH plans to start such medical stores in small villages also. People will get Ayurvedic medicines at low prices in these stores. Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav says that the doctors practicing Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani medicine face a problem that the patients are not able to get many of the medicines prescribed. Even in medical stores, there are very few medicines of AYUSH, but now special medical stores will be started for them. There will be an option to start such centers in private partnership. Secretary of the AYUSH Ministry, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, says that the AYUSH Ministry plans to ensure that people have no shortage of AYUSH medicines for their treatment. This will also promote the traditional medical systems of India. According to the AYUSH Minister, hospitals of 50, 30 and 10 beds will be prepared at the district level. Medical seats are also increasing.

Plan to test 5 crore people

Giving information about the achievements of the Ministry of AYUSH in 100 days, the Union Minister said that work is going on on the plan of health checkup of 5 crore people. An app is also being prepared for those who will undergo health check-up, where they will be able to get notifications about food, disease prevention and other important information. To run the nature testing campaign, the help of students, doctors and faculty studying in all the Ayurveda colleges of the country will be taken. Through this campaign, the largest research sample size in the research field will be obtained and this will be a major research in the field of Ayurveda.
