17 wickets fell in 1 day on a green pitch…’flop show’ of batsmen


New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has made a great comeback in the Perth Test match. After the flop show of the batsmen, India is close to taking the lead in the first innings due to the sharp bowling of the Indian bowlers led by Jasprit Bumrah. Virat Kohli, who dropped the catch of Marnus Labuschagne, did not make any mistake this time. Steve Smith (0), who was struggling with bad form, was out LBW on the very first ball. Bumrah created pressure from which other bowlers also benefited. Rana took the wicket of Travis Head (11) on the ball going on the middle stump. Australia’s four wickets had fallen for 31 runs. Labuschagne played 24 balls to open the account. he/she was out LBW on the ball of Siraj after scoring two runs in 52 balls. he/she got Mitchell Marsh caught at slip by KL Rahul.

Bumrah took the wicket of Cummins in his/her last spell. Earlier, Pant (37 runs in 78 balls) and Reddy made a partnership of 48 runs for the seventh wicket for India. Pant also hit a brilliant six to Australian captain Cummins over backward square leg. Before this, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood did not allow the Indian top order to survive. When Pant looked dangerous, Cummins got him/her caught out at second slip. Pant and Reddy played some good shots. Apart from these two, that spirit was not seen in any Indian batsman.
