12 hours of my duty completed, driver-guard left two trains on the way, a dangerous act in railway history!

Barabanki: A new exploit of train drivers has come to light on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur railway section in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, after completing 12 hours of duty time, the drivers of two trains left the train standing on the railway track. Due to this, the train going from Saharsa to Delhi stood at Burhwal station for 3 hours 40 minutes and the train going from Barauni to Lucknow for 1 hour 41 minutes. During this time, the station superintendent stopped taking calls regarding the problems of passengers. Due to the strong uproar by the passengers, the Railway Department immediately brought other drivers on duty from Lucknow to Burhwal, after which the trains were sent onward.

According to the information, the drivers and guards of two express trains passing through Burhwal railway station of Lucknow-Gorakhpur railway section refused to take the train forward. He left the train saying that 12 hours of his duty time had passed. Meanwhile, the passengers traveling on the trains created a ruckus. Due to this, RPF, GRP, local police and station superintendent and staff remain completely silent.

Driver and guard left the train and ran away

NER’s Gonda RPF Inspector Ajmer Singh Yadav said that the train going from Saharsa Bihar to New Delhi reached Burhwal station at 1:15 pm on Wednesday. Its driver and guard parked the train between platform numbers three and four. On this the passengers started creating ruckus. The driver and guard of this train said that they have 12 hours of duty and this period has been completed. On this the situation was informed to the control room Lucknow. On this, the driver and guard of this train were brought from Lucknow to Burhwal. Left from Saharsa for New Delhi at 4:50 pm. In this way the train remained standing at the railway station for 3 hours 40 minutes.

Same story of the driver-guard of the second train

At the same station, the driver and guard of the express train going from Barauni to Lucknow also repeated the story. Both of them also told the station superintendent that their 12-hour duty had been completed. Now he cannot go further by train. This train reached here at 4:04 pm. The second driver and guard of this train were called from Lucknow. After this it was sent ahead at 5:46. In these conditions, this train stood at Burhwal station for 1 hour 41 minutes.

GRP Inspector of Burhwal station Devendra Singh said that the driver of the non-stop train going from Saharsa to Delhi left after completing 12 hours of duty time. The Barauni Express train going from Barauni to Lucknow had also stopped at 4 pm. The driver and guard of this train left the train saying that their duty was completed. Due to the delay of the train, the passengers created a ruckus for about 20 minutes, which was understood and pacified. After the control change, this train also left.
