1 woman dead, 2 hospitalized in stampede at premiere of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’

Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2’ premiered in Hyderabad on Wednesday, creating a stampede. One woman died and two were injured in the stampede outside Sandhya Theatre, who have been admitted to the hospital. This chaos broke out when the crowd gathered to see the actor during the screening. Allu Arjun’s most awaited movie Pushpa 2: The Rule has been released in theaters today on 5th December 2024. A day earlier, on Wednesday night, the premiere show took place at Sandhya Theater located at RTC intersection, in which a 39-year-old woman lost her life. Only one boy’s condition has become serious. It is believed that he/she is his/her younger son.

When Allu Arjun reached the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’, the crowd surrounded him/her, to control the police lathi charge on the fans.

The woman had come to watch a movie with her husband and children.

According to media reports, the woman, identified as Revathi from Dilsukhnagar, had attended the premiere of the film with her husband Bhaskar and two children. There was chaos around 10.30 pm, when a crowd of fans gathered to get a glimpse of the film’s actor Allu Arjun, who was also present at the screening.

People helped, but the woman had died.

In this viral video, police and nearby people are seen running to help the victim. An attempt was reportedly made to give CPR to Revathi before she was taken to the hospital. The son’s condition remains critical, while Revathi died on the spot due to her injuries.

Crowd goes out of control to see Allu Arjun

According to India Today report, when the news of Allu Arjun’s arrival spread, the crowd went out of control. Many people started scrambling to get closer to the actor. For the safety of the actor, he/she was surrounded by police and security personnel.

Police did lathi charge

In the video going viral, police can also be seen doing lathicharge to disperse the crowd. According to IANS report, the main gate of the theater also collapsed amid the chaos outside the theater.

Additional forces deployed for Allu Arjun’s security

Since Allu Arjun was also inside the theatre, the police increased security by deploying additional forces to prevent any untoward incident. Allu Arjun comes out of the sunroof of his/her car and also waves to the crowd.

The film is the sequel of 2021’s ‘Pushpa’

Sukumar has directed the film. It is the sequel to ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ released in 2021. This film has been released on 10 thousand screens. The release of the 3D version was canceled at the last minute due to post-production delays. It stars Allu Arjun along with many stars including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil.
