0, 0, 0, 0 … Anurag Thakur in Lok Sabha has a big tan on Rahul Gandhi, MP Supriya Sule hit back

New Delhi: BJP MP Anurag Thakur mentioned the results of the Delhi Assembly elections while participating in the discussion on the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha. During this, he/she targeted the Congress and said that in the sixth consecutive elections including Lok Sabha and Assembly, the Congress has been reduced to zero in the capital. Anurag Thakur Said that the country was ‘Scam India’ during the previous UPA government. The Congress governments had ‘tax terrorism’ in the country. But today, for the first time, the Modi government has given great relief to crores of people of middle class by making income up to Rs 12 lakh.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi But claiming to call the budget as ‘bandage budget’, he/she said that this is a ‘booster shot budget’. he/she said that family was a priority for the Congress. But the country is a priority for Modi. Anurag Thakur claimed that in 1970, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed income tax of up to 97.5 per cent on the middle class. he/she also asked for permission to run a tape of a speech of former Prime Minister Gandhi in the House, but the speaker did not allow him/her.

On the other hand, Congress leader Manish Tiwari surrounded the government over several aspects of the budget. he/she alleged that this government has also imposed debt burden on the coming generations of India. he/she claimed that the cash trend in the Indian economy today is Rs 35.99 lakh crore. Whereas at the time of demonetisation, this amount was more than Rs 16 lakh crore. The government very cleverly changed the way to measure the financial deficit. he/she said that this government has imposed debt burden on the coming generations. he/she claimed that the government is continuously borrowing and the loan has increased to Rs 200 lakh crore.

Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MP Supriya Sule described the budget as disappointing and said that today when foreign currencies like pounds, euros and Singapuri dollars are becoming stronger against the dollar. In such a situation, the government’s argument to hold the global scenario responsible behind the fall of the rupee. Sule appreciated the proposal made in the budget to free the annual income of Rs 12 lakh from tax. However, by exempting GST, the central government also demanded relief to states and common citizens. he/she also said that the central government has done a good job in the field of banking, but it should clarify whether it is going to privatize IDBI Bank?

Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee, alleging neglecting West Bengal in the budget, claimed that BJP will not get 30 seats in the state assembly elections to be held in 2026. he/she also raised the demand to set up a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate complaints related to the system of Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran called the budget discriminatory and injustice to the common people of the country. She cited an alleged old statement by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and said if she will resign now? he/she said that the government should accept that the step to free income up to Rs 12 lakh from tax was taken keeping the small portion of the middle class in urban areas keeping in mind the Delhi assembly elections.
